Question
Can I see how many hours my current users have worked on the cloud computer?
Answer
Yes — there are two ways to track this, depending on how your users connect:
1. Using the Built-in Feature in the Web Portal
- Go to the Admin Portal: https://dash.v2cloud.com
- Click on the name of your cloud computer.
- Under the Users section, go to Actions → More → Show History.
⚠️ Important Note: This feature is only accurate if users connect through the web browser. If they use the V2 Cloud app, the data shown may not be reliable.
2. Using the RDP Parser Script (For V2 App Users)
If your users connect via the V2 Cloud app, you can request detailed worked hours by contacting support@v2cloud.com. Our support team can:
- Deploy an RDP Parser script to your admin desktop.
- This script collects session data from the Windows event logs.
- It will generate a CSV file on your desktop showing how many hours each user worked over the last days.
📌 Note about Windows logs: By default, Windows limits the number of saved event logs. In some cases, depending on your tracking needs, we may need to adjust system settings to prevent older logs from being overwritten.
⚠️ Disclaimer: This is a simple script we provide. If you have specific requirements, we may adjust the script for you. However, for advanced tracking and reporting, you may need to use a third‑party application.
