Differences between Disconnect and Sign out from the Windows Cloud Session

 

Sign Out

When users sign out, their Windows session is fully closed, releasing the usage of the hardware resources on the Cloud computer.

The next time they connect, a fresh Windows Cloud Session will start.

Disconnect

When users disconnect from the Windows Cloud Session, their session remains open and continues consuming hardware resources on the Cloud computer.

Automatically Sign Off Disconnected Users

To prevent disconnected users from continuing to consume hardware resources on the Cloud computer, the Administrators can configure a Windows policy to automatically sign off users after they have been disconnected for a set period of time by following this tutorial:
