If a user is having trouble accessing their account due to Two-Factor Authentication (2FA), you can reset their 2FA settings directly from the V2 Cloud dashboard. Follow the steps below.
Steps to Reset 2FA
- Log in to the V2 Cloud Dashboard
- Go to dash.v2cloud.com and sign in with your admin credentials.
- Go to dash.v2cloud.com and sign in with your admin credentials.
- Select the Cloud Computer
- From your dashboard, click on the title of the computer where the user is located.
- From your dashboard, click on the title of the computer where the user is located.
- Locate the User
- In the users list, find the specific user whose 2FA needs to be reset.
- In the users list, find the specific user whose 2FA needs to be reset.
- Edit the User Settings
- Right-click on Action next to the user’s name.
- Select Edit User.
- Right-click on Action next to the user’s name.
- Enable the 2FA Reset
- Check the box that says:
“Require two-step authentication reset.”
- Save your changes.
- Check the box that says:
- User Login After Reset
- On the user’s next login, they will be prompted to set up their 2FA again.
- They can choose to configure it via email, authenticator app, or both, depending on their preference.
- On the user’s next login, they will be prompted to set up their 2FA again.
