### ⚠️ Common Issues & Fixes
**1. Administrator can open Drake Tax but users can’t**
- Confirm user permissions:
- Each Drake user must have **Full Control** permissions (read & modify) on **all folders within the DrakeYY folder** (where “YY” is the tax year).
- If all current and future users need access, edit the **parent folder permissions** to give the "Users" group **Full Control**.
---
**2. Missing shortcut for users**
- Navigate to the Drake executable:
- Go to the **FT folder** inside your Drake installation directory (on the local hard drive or network drive).
- Locate **DrakeYY.exe**.
- Right-click on it and select **Open** to test.
- If it works, create a shortcut:
- Right-click **DrakeYY.exe**, select **Send to → Desktop (create shortcut)**.
- You can either:
- Move the shortcut to a specific user’s desktop, **or**
- Place it in the **Public Desktop folder** so it’s available for all current and future users.
📂 To access the Public Desktop folder:
C:\Users\Public\Desktop
