Overview
If Microsoft Office applications are crashing, freezing, or failing to open, Windows provides built-in repair options that can help restore functionality without reinstalling the software.
Prerequisites
- Access to the cloud computer
- Permission to access Control Panel
- Internet connection (required for Online Repair)
Steps
- Close all Microsoft Office applications.
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Programs and Features.
- Locate your Microsoft Office installation.
- Right-click the Office installation and select Change.
- Choose one of the following repair options:
- Quick Repair (recommended first)
- Online Repair (more thorough and requires an internet connection)
- Follow the on-screen prompts to complete the repair process.
- Restart the cloud computer if prompted.
Notes
- Online Repair may take longer but resolves more complex issues than Quick Repair.
- Users may need to sign back into Office applications after the repair is completed.
