Overview
Recreating an Outlook profile can resolve common issues such as synchronization problems, repeated password prompts, or Outlook failing to open.
Prerequisites
- Access to the Windows cloud computer
- Outlook installed and configured
- Email account credentials (if required for reconfiguration)
Steps
- Close Outlook completely.
- Open Control Panel.
- Select Mail (Microsoft Outlook).
- Click Show Profiles.
- Click Add.
- Enter a name for the new profile and click OK.
- Follow the prompts to configure the email account.
- Once setup is complete, select Always use this profile.
- Choose the newly created profile.
- Open Outlook and verify that it is working correctly.
Notes
- The old Outlook profile is not deleted automatically unless removed manually.
- Cached mailbox data may need to be downloaded again after creating a new profile.
