Issue
Your mapped drives may disconnect or show as unavailable when trying to access them.
Cause
The most common reasons for this issue are:
- The password for the account used to map the drives has been changed recently.
- A Windows name resolution conflict is preventing the mapped drive from staying connected.
- The drive was manually disconnected by the user.
Solution
- Check and update saved credentials
- On the affected computer, click the Start menu and type Credentials.
- Open Credential Manager.
- Look for any saved credentials related to the mapped drive.
- If the password has changed, update it with the new one.
- On the affected computer, click the Start menu and type Credentials.
- ⚠️ If you are using credentials from another PC or shared account, make sure those updated credentials are also saved in your Credential Manager.
- If the issue continues
- Reconnect the mapped drive manually and confirm you are using the correct username and password.
- If problems persist, contact support with details about when the disconnection happens (for example, after restart, after password change, or randomly during the day).
- Reconnect the mapped drive manually and confirm you are using the correct username and password.
