Snapshots allow administrators to save and restore the state of a cloud PC. Only administrators with full access to the V2 dashboard can access and use snapshots.
🔹 Accessing Snapshots
1. Go to dash.v2cloud.com
2. Click on Computers and select the cloud PC you want to manage
3. Navigate to the Snapshots tab to view your available snapshots
💡 Important Notes:
- Snapshots are a paid feature available on the Business Plan
- By default, the last 7 days of snapshots are stored. This can be extended up to 21 days for an additional charge
🔹 Using a Snapshot
- 📝 Edit Snapshot Name – rename the snapshot for easier identification
- 📂 Browse Files – view and download specific files via SFTP (files larger than 1 GB can be downloaded this way)
- If you receive an error while browsing snapshot files, contact support@v2cloud.com with a list of the snapshot dates you'll need to access and we'll make them visible for you
- For SFTP details: in the Browse Snapshot Files option, once you click it, let it load and you'll see "View SFTP Details" at the top right
- If the file is small (less than 1 GB), you can rightAlt + left click and download it directly via the browser
- 🔄 Revert Cloud PC – restore your cloud PC to the state of the selected snapshot
⚠️ Disclaimer:
- Reverting a cloud PC using a snapshot is irreversible. Any data created or modified between the snapshot date and the current date will be lost If you have any doubts, please contact our IT specialists before performing this action.
- ⏳ The time to revert may vary depending on storage size and can take several hours for big storage cloud computers.
