How to Configure Automatic Windows Updates (Admins Only)

Overview

Windows Updates help keep your cloud computer secure, stable, and up to date. Administrators can configure when updates are downloaded, installed, and how restart behavior is handled.

Prerequisites

• Administrator access to the cloud computer
• Access to Windows Settings

Steps

1. Sign in to the cloud computer using an administrator account.
2. Open Settings.
3. Navigate to Windows Update.
4. Click Advanced options.
5. Configure available update settings, such as:
   • Receive updates for other Microsoft products
   • Active hours
   • Restart notifications
   • Optional updates
6. Return to the Windows Update page.
7. Click Check for updates if you want to install available updates immediately.

• It is recommended to schedule updates outside business hours to minimize user disruption.
• Some updates require a restart before they take effect.
